After playing tennis for 16 years across the world in various competitive environments (USTA, ITF, ITA, College), I noticed one massive problem: walking onto the court without a winning strategy.

Throughout hundreds of matches (and losses), I wouldn't find a good strategy until several games in. But what if I knew exactly how to beat my opponent, based on cold hard data, before I even stepped foot onto the court ?

That's what got me thinking about the original idea of StrategyCoach.

I've also been a coach (giving my first lesson to an adult at the age of 13), and after having conversations with some, another issue became clear to me: coaching is an unscalable business.

You are bound by your time and location. Of course you can use YouTube and online courses, but you can't deliver a personalized experience like you can in person.

What if there was a solution that helped both athlete and coach at the same time? A solution that not only gave athletes winning strategies, but helped coaches deliver a personalized coaching experience while being able to scale their business without being dependent on time and location?

When ChatGPT launched in 2022, I knew the solution had arrived.

The solution: use AI-enhanced coaching models based on real-world coaches' philosophies to create personalized winning strategies.

Coaching is like art:

Artists have different styles; tell 10 different artists to paint the Mona Lisa and you’ll get different versions (Picasso style, Van gogh, Monet, hyper realistic, gamer style, cartoon sketch etc.). All of them are the Mona Lisa (i.e. a strategy based on an opponent) but with a different style (i.e. unique coaching philosophy).

We also know that athletes go to different coaches because of their coaching style and philosophy (I had over 20 coaches over 16 years). Why limit the AI to one coaching style when players and coaches may prefer something unique?

Furtermore, we understand that athletes form a strong connection to their coach. But the coach can't always be there for a competition because they are busy working with other students or dealing with life.

But with AI, we can overcome this issue. Now, you can have access to your coach anytime and anywhere. You'll never be in doubt again when preparing for a match. And when you have confidence and the right strategy in hand, you have the ingredients to fuel a win.
